I am fascinated by the power of context, so when I shoot photos, I'm interested in liminal zones - the places and times where usual and expected things meet, cross, and combine, allowing something completely new to take shape. I find this tension in the places where urban and rural environments meet, in the visual chaos of half-abandoned towns, in the forgotten ruins of formerly great buildings, and in the signs, billboards, and graffiti that surround us in the modern built environment.
